Nope! It’s entirely up to you to opt in to your employer’s tronc scheme.
It’s the law that a tronc can’t be mandatory and you have to “opt in.”
Don't worry if there’s a bit of a delay in signing up though. We’ll start assigning tips to you as soon as your employer confirms you’ve worked hours, and keep them safe until you complete the sign up. If you decide not to join in then your tips will after 3 months be re-absorbed into the pot and shared with your colleagues.
